SFCC Technical Architect Opportunity

Role: SFCC Technical Architect Location: Remote (US)As a Solutions Architect, you’ll partner with Product and Delivery Managers to architect and orchestrate building highly scalable and performant applications. You will bring strong leadership and development skills including facilitating change, driving design excellence, code quality standards, and striving for continuous improvement. Your role will be influential in the overarching technology choices for the program and in ensuring a world-class customer experience.
  • Must have 10+ years of experience implementing large scale, multi-country, multi-language Ecommerce B2C websites, primarily on SFCC.
  • Proven experience in defining Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Architecture, Design, and working with SF OMS as a backend engine.
  • Ensuring that all new B2C commerce functionalities are built with Salesforce standard features and Red Cross target technology architecture.
  • Extensive experience in exposing SFCC standard and custom functionality via OCAPI and B2CCommerce API.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide a team.
  • Deliver compelling presentations, architectural blueprint documents, environment management plans, development policies, and participate in requirements-gathering workshops.
  • Execution of best practice standards: design, coding, environment, and data.
  • Documenting any newly developed functionality in solution designs.
  • Partnering end-to-end with Product Managers/Owners, Business Stakeholders, and Business Analysts to understand customer requirements and process flows and translate them into Salesforce technology solutions.
  • Managing all application architecture artifacts.
  • Ongoing application rationalization and simplification of user experience.
  • Demonstrate strong command of technical details to translate proposed solutions into functional specifications with the technical team.
  • Manage the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements of applications.
  • Build Proofs-Of-Concept to illustrate possible technical solutions to stakeholders and technical staff.
  • Establish and implement development patterns for technical staff to follow.
  • Define and implement DevOps processes to improve development quality (mix of onshore and offshore), providing technical guidance.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and coaching for solution and integration teams.
  • Establish and control technical definitions, rules, principles, and standards for teams.
  • Assess, review, and decide on all solution architecture designs.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have worked with Headless Commerce implementations, preferably with lightning-fast FE frameworks like Vue Storefront.
  • BS in Computer Science or related technology/technical fields, or 10+ years’ equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SFCC/Demandware development.
  • Minimum of 3 years of SFCC SFRA development experience.
  • Deep understanding of SFCC architecture, processes, and best practices.
  • Experience working with OCAPI, Commerce API, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud Business Manager.
  • Extensive prior experience in integrating SFCC APIs via middleware to frontend stack.
