Role: SFCC Technical Architect

Experience & Responsibilities:

• 10+ years of experience in implementing large-scale, multi-country, and multi-language Ecommerce B2C websites, primarily on Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).
• Proven expertise in defining SFCC Architecture and Design and working with SF OMS as a backend engine.
• Ensuring all new B2C commerce functionalities are built with Salesforce standard features and adhering to Red Cross target technology architecture.
• Extensive experience in exposing SFCC standard and custom functionalities via OCAPI and B2CCommerce API.
• Leadership: Lead, mentor, and guide a team of developers.
• Deliver compelling presentations, architectural blueprint documents, environment management plans, development policies, and participate in requirements-gathering workshops to influence project strategy.
• Execution of best practice standards: design, coding, environment, data.
• Document new functionality developed in solution designs.
• Partner with Product Managers, Business Stakeholders, and Business Analysts to understand customer requirements and translate them into Salesforce technology solutions.
• Manage all application architecture artifacts.
• Rationalization and simplification of user experience on applications.
• Translate proposed solutions into functional specifications with technical teams.
• Oversee the technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration elements in applications.
• Build Proofs-of-Concept to illustrate technical solutions to stakeholders and technical teams.
• Establish and implement development patterns for technical staff to follow.
• Define and implement DevOps processes to improve the development quality for developers (mix of onshore and offshore).
• Day-to-day guidance and coaching for solution and integration teams.
• Establish and control technical definitions, rules, principles, and standards for teams.
• Review and decide on all solution architecture designs.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have worked with Headless Commerce implementations (preferably using Vue Storefront or similar fast front-end frameworks).
• BS in Computer Science or related technology field, or equivalent 10+ years experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SFCC/Demandware development.
• At least 3 years of experience in SFCC SFRA development.
• Deep understanding of SFCC architecture, processes, and best practices.
• Experience working with OCAPI, Commerce API, and Salesforce Commerce Cloud Business Manager.
• Extensive experience in integrating SFCC APIs via middleware to frontend stack.
